Tanzania Renews Barrick’s North Mara Mining Licences for 15 Years

Tanzania has renewed the mining licences for Barrick Mining Corporation’s North Mara gold mine for another 15 years, extending the company’s operating rights at one of the country’s key gold-producing assets.

The renewal provides longer-term certainty for Barrick’s operations at North Mara and supports continued investment in Tanzania’s mining sector.

North Mara is an important contributor to Tanzania’s gold production and to government revenues from the mining industry. The extended licences could also support employment, local procurement and broader economic activity around the mine.
