Accra — Ghana’s consumer inflation rose slightly to 5.2% year on year in September, up from 5.0% in August, according to data released by the Ghana Statistical Service on Wednesday.

The increase marks a modest acceleration in price growth, although inflation remains relatively contained compared with the much higher levels recorded in previous periods.

The latest reading will be closely watched by businesses, investors and policymakers as Ghana continues to manage inflationary pressures while working to strengthen economic stability.

The movement in consumer prices is also important for households and companies as it influences purchasing power, operating costs, interest-rate expectations and investment decisions across the economy.
