Lusaka — Zambia has begun discussions with an International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission on a new lending programme, the country’s Ministry of Finance said on Wednesday.
The talks mark a new phase in Zambia’s engagement with the IMF as the government seeks continued financial support and economic reforms.
The ministry did not immediately provide details on the size, duration or specific conditions of the proposed programme.
